So this is really trivial. And maybe thats all it is….or maybe it is another notch in the universe’s bed post from screwin me:

So you know how everyone(or maybe just me) has those things that you’ve had for a really long time. So long that for some reason they become “special” to you; Lucky t-shirt, a ring from a vending machine, teddy bear, ceramic pickle….errr….whatever. Well theres this glass. Just a plain clear glass. It had the VW logo on one side with “San Fransisco 1989″ under it in blue. On the other side some emblem with “Spatan Munich” under it also in blue. For some reason I grew to love this glass. Always drank out of it…ALWAYS. When Victoria and I were together I caught her using it a few times….I put a stop to it because of her love of the sound of breaking glass….or so it would seem by the amount of glasses she has broken. But anyways, tonite as i was getting ready to watch Heroes i decided i was thirsty…so i grabbed a “cold brew” tea bag tossed it in water and let it brew…ofcourse in my favorite glass. I had used up all my sugar water so out of laziness i resorted to dumping sugar directly into the iced tea. So in order to dissolve the sugar quickly I stirred vigorously…very vigorously. So vigorously in fact my dear dear glass broke in half. and i mean IN HALF. One half sat on the counter as the other half and the tea contained inside, fell off the counter and shattered at my feet. All the glasses I reached past to grab this one…why? Is it just one more thing that I liked/enjoyed getting taken away from me? Am I over thinking this? Oh well…like I said…chalk it up to…figures.

Jason and I will be working on www.NoWArkMusic.com – basically a who’s playing where of local music.

I also want to start an Arkansas guide on my site to talk about all the great restaurants, stores and what-not I’ve come across since I’ve been here.

I have thought about volunteering at the Fayetteville Animal Shelter…but that may end up being too much for me right now….I’d end up with bunches of puppies I’m sure.

I want to get back into photography.

There’s more, but thats a good start to the list for now..

Well, its been awhile since I posted. No real excuse. Just a lot going on. Been doing a lot of thinking about this whole move and it’s really ironic cause one of the main reasons I took this job for isn’t even a factor anymore. Ive lost a very important part of me since i’ve moved. Honestly with everything I left behind in Pittsburgh, The only thing that I regret is leaving Victoria. Everyday something reminds me of some point of our 3 years together. Like the other day, Grocery shopping…all because for the first time in along time I thought about buying string cheese. Victoria’s fav. snack. Or like thinking about the day that I moved. Driving away…her in my rear view mirror. Or earlier seeing her graduate from CCAC. She’s amazing the way that she successfully went thru business classes while doing such an amazing job running the coffee shop. Not everyone could do that….I know I couldn’t.

And that brings me to my point, since I’ve moved. I haven’t really felt myself. Mainly because I have been missing a very large part of myself. I walked away from so much more than I could have ever imagined. Maybe we never would have made it, maybe things were getting bad between us, I mean of course we had our rough times….but the thing is….I’ll never know. And that uncertainty is probably the worst part of it all. I think about 5 years from now….HELL, 6 months from now, and I get scared. I see her with someone else, and it hurts. It hurts so much. And really there isn’t anything I can do about it….atleast not right now.

Then the other thing that eats away at me is when I look at Bellevue now, when I look at the building. I see things coming together. I see other people doing the things that I tried so hard to accomplish. Things I laid the ground work for, things that I created are actually working now, now that I’m gone. Was I that bad at getting things accomplished? Are the two connected? I mean maybe I can’t finish anything that I start.

Now, here I am in a new place, a chance to start over. It’s just I have no idea where to start, HELL, I don’t even know where to look to start. All this disappointment I’ve been feeling has really clouded my motivation.

So now what? I guess that I just need to move forward. Hopefully someday all of this makes sense to me.

Big Ass Wasp eating a Cicada!!!

So Chad and I were outside talking when we heard that sound again….it sounded like a garbage truck…dropped off the Empire State Building…..well ok no it didnt BUT it sounded like a Toy Helicoptor plummeting to earth. And once again it was a Giant Wasp attacking a Locust(Cicada to some of you) I guess it gets on them in a tree stings them then drops to the ground while holding on. It then proceeds to drag it up the tree and munch on its face. This time after chewing on it for a little it decided to fly away while holdin on to the thing. So watch out for your small children and pets in Arkansas. After some research I found this…they are called Cicada Killer Wasps. Where do they come up with such technically accurate names. EWW EWW EWW!

Everyday on my way into work, I listen to music, just like every other commuter. It seems as if every day, I have one specific line stuck in my head that I heard during my 30 minute drive. This got me to think about starting a “Name this Song” Twitter Game.

Every week day, I will post a song lyric, DM me or email me: contact@patheticboy.com the Song Title and Artist. Perhaps if people participate I will send out weekly prizes to the parson with the most correct answers!!

is it me?

So sometimes i sit back and realize how little i actually know about a lot of stuff. I mean I have done so many different things but I have always only let myself get to a certain knowledge level before moving on or shutting off my learning/thinking ability. Ive been reflecting the past few weeks and i’ve realized that either it because after a certain amount of time i get really lazy or my brain just shuts down. I don’t know with is the “better of two evils”. I try so hard to be amazing in what i do but when I really think about it, I’m pretty par for the course. thats pretty devastating to me. I realize that i’ve never really gave anything my all and that really makes me sad at times.
At times I realize how replaceable i actualy am even in places where It seemed like i could never be replaced.

So i guess what i need to learn from this is, stop whining about it and do something about it. I have a great opportunity right now to just start fresh. I need to take advantage of that. I need to really get myself together and change this really bothersome quality of myself. I really hope that i can accomplish this. I used to be so confident and able. but any more I just feel…incredibly average.

Little Mossey was seem crossing the street on my way to Sonic. At first I thought he was a shoe and I was just gonna pass over him…then I saw what he was. So I slammed on my brakes and backed up. Now I call him Mossey cause his shell was covered in Moss. Maybe I should have called him Coco cause he was about the size of a coconut. Or maybe Streety since thats where i found the lil guy. Well i got out of the car and when i got to him he was all tucked up in his shell. When i picked him up his little legs popped out and went crazy…so crazy that he wiggled around and i dropped him…SILLY MOSSEY!!!! Then when I went to pick him up again the little bugger tried to bite me….maybe I should call him Bitey. So i lightly kicked him off to the side of the street.Good thing I stopped be cause the 3 cars that passed when I was there were FLYING…and DEF. woulda hit the little guy. With Mossey safe I headed to SONIC. I figured on my way back Id have to stop and Kick him some more(not in a violent way tho)…But on my return trip Mossey either got wise and booked it outta there or someone came and moved him….or he is actually a Ninja Turtle and was so stealthy that I couldnt see him….if thats the case Id call him Raphael(he was my favorite).

If I didnt have 2 extremely playful cats I prolly would have brought Mossey home with me.
